Coaching sessions & the S.P.O.R.T. canvas

Audience: coaches. Run a 1:1 session, capture notes and outputs, and clock the time.

Everything here is under the Coaching tab in the coach dashboard.

Sessions

Coaching → Coaching Sessions. A session is the record of a 1:1 with a coachee — notes, outputs, and time. - Plan a duration when you schedule the session — the hours are clocked from that planned duration, so a forgotten "End" doesn't lose the time. - Add session notes as you go.

The S.P.O.R.T. coaching canvas

Coaching → S.P.O.R.T. Canvas (also reachable per session). A visual, single-page canvas you fill with the coachee across five zones on a 3×3 grid:

  • State — where they are right now.
  • Possibilities — where they want to get to.
  • Obstacles — what's in the way.
  • Resources — what they can draw on.
  • Taken action — what they'll actually do.

A diagonal S → P "visual momentum" arrow runs from State to Possibilities to keep the session moving forward. It autosaves as you type; on mobile it stacks into one column. The coachee's view is read-only — you drive it.

Turn a canvas into content. From the canvas you can use the AI assist to draft an imagery or affirmation script from what you captured — see AI assists. You review and edit before anything is saved; nothing is sent to the coachee automatically.

Hours

Reviewed sessions and facilitation feed your hours ledger (and, for IAPCF members, count toward PD hours). Hours are credited on a time-window basis, not calendar-day, so late submissions still count correctly.

Good to know

  • Where do my session outputs live? Notes attach to the session; scripts you generate from the canvas land in your imagery/affirmation library (then you assign them).
  • Async instead of live? See Async coaching for the threaded, not-in-real-time option.
