Imagery & affirmations — author, voice, assign¶
Audience: coaches. Create guided imagery (visualization) scripts and affirmations, give them audio, assign them to a coachee or group, and see how they land.
Both live under the Assignments tab in the coach dashboard, each with a Browse / Create / Assign / Manage set.
Imagery (guided visualizations)¶
An imagery exercise is a script the coachee reads or listens to, optionally with a narrated audio track and a background ambient-music overlay.
Create one — Assignments → Imagery → Create / Manage Imagery (needs the Create Imagery permission; if it's locked you'll see a CPD badge): 1. Write the title and the script (the words the coachee follows). 2. Audio (optional): generate a narration with text-to-speech (pick a voice), or upload your own recording. You can also attach an ambient music track to play underneath. 3. Save.
Assign it — Assignments → Assign Imagery → choose the imagery, a coachee or group, and optional schedule/due dates. Manage Imagery Assignments lists what's out.
Affirmations¶
Short, repeatable prompts (text and/or audio). Create under Assignments → Affirmations → Browse / Create (needs the Create Affirmation permission). - A New Affirmation has a title and optional text. The audio section is the one place to attach audio — you can upload a track even if there's no text (e.g. a sung affirmation). The file stages when you pick it and attaches when you click Create. - Waitley cadence — a one-click button that restructures your affirmation into the Dennis Waitley style: each statement is repeated twice with a silent pause for the client to repeat it to themselves, before the next statement. It adds the pause markers for you, so a generated audio track has the gaps built in. Runs on the text you've written; safe to re-apply. - Background music (optional) — attach a bed from the shared ambient-music library. It plays softly underneath the spoken affirmation for the coachee (the same overlay imagery uses). Choose it in the affirmation's audio area; it saves as soon as you pick it. It's not layered on a personal song (see below) — a full song doesn't get a second bed. - Assign under Assign Affirmation; Manage Affirmation Assignments lists them.
Personal songs (per coachee)¶
An affirmation or imagery can carry a personal track for one coachee — either a generated song (see Music Studio, below) or one you upload just for them. It plays instead of the shared audio, so the same affirmation can have a different song per client.
Music Studio (paid)¶
Assignments → Music Studio. Generate a bespoke instrumental per coachee from a prompt (AI, ACE-Step). It's a paid feature — unlocked by a subscription, a free trial, or an admin comp, and metered in credits per generation. Preview, then attach it to the coachee's imagery/affirmation as their personal song.
What the coachee does — and what you see back¶
The coachee opens the imagery/affirmation, plays the audio, and marks it complete. They can optionally rate it (1–5), reflect on how it went, and leave feedback for you — all optional, editable any time. You see their rating + written feedback per item on the coachee's Assignments tab (open a coachee → Assignments), and for imagery, "Opened N×" as a usage signal.
Choosing a voice¶
The voice picker plays a short sample of each of the nine voices, so you can hear one before
spending a generation on it. Names are decoded too — bm_george shows as George (UK, male).
Samples are shared and pre-made, so previewing costs nothing.
Tidying up old audio¶
Regenerating audio replaces the current version and keeps the previous one. Once you've settled on a take, Delete older versions clears the rest. It never touches the version you're using.
Sharing a draft before you publish¶
A piece of content you create is private to you until you publish it to the Library. If you want a colleague's eyes on it first, use Shared with on the item and pick them by name — they'll see it in their library while it's still private. They can read it; editing and deleting stay with you.
This is the middle ground between "only me" and "everyone", and it's the intended way to get something reviewed before it goes out.
Good to know¶
- Scripts are copy-protected when read. When a coachee opens an imagery or affirmation, the script text can't be selected, copied, or right-clicked — a deterrent against casual lifting (not DRM). It only affects the read view; your create/edit editor stays fully selectable.
- Browse Imagery is open to all coaches; creating/editing imagery and affirmations is gated on the matching CPD permission (an admin grants it).
- Bundle them into a journey with Programme Packs once the imagery pack items land (exercises ship today; imagery/affirmation items are a later phase).
